James Zebooker

Born and raised in New York City, James is a graduate of the LaGuardia Arts Drama Department and UMass Amherst.

He has earned roles in the Netflix Feature Film "The After Party," Off-Broadway at the Laura Pels Theater,  The Bushwick Starr, and the New York Musical Theater Festival.

 

He worked alongside Stephen Sondheim for his Off-Broadway debut as Assistant Director for acclaimed Fiasco Theater's 

production of Merrily We Roll Along at the Roundabout Theatre Company.

For writing and directing his play "Spin," he was awarded the 2023 Best Play and Best Director awards at Secret Theatre Short Play Festival, and "Spin" was also a 2020 Finalist in the

Red Bull Theater's Short New Play Festival. His original screenplay "The Hartford Handle" received an honorable mention at the 2021 NYC Midnight Short Screenplay Festival.
